Paul Cadmus ... it seems fair to say that a lot of his work is deeply unattractively grotesquely satirical and i wouldn't want it on my wall, even if i was a lottery billionaire, but some of his stuff is fine, and some is even tender ... tenderness is a hallmark that i recognize
