billy wheadon and george gay in the lions' den




























my father, colin forward, was a draughtsman at a factory called ekco

he produced a pamphlet there in 1956

here are shown the cover, and the pages celebrating the daring 1930 exploit of billy wheadon, who was still cutting hair in the town in the fifties, but only in the style worn by soldiers in the first world war
