THIS IS A FANGYOU ... a bronze wine vessel fashioned and cast three thousand years ago in China ... the museum description says the panels show bird motifs ... my question is WHAT KIND OF BIRDS ?

artist's statements ... i s'pose curators need 'em as a kind of sustaining justification of art's value ... but you and i know that art MUST speak for itself after we've gone ... i'll be doing a very modest exhibition in a remote place this summer and this will be my statement ... framed nicely, of course ...
