i booked the smallest cheapest car on-line from avis ... so they offered me a deal i couldn't refuse

a man named Lo

mountain people celebrating twenty-eight years of marriage

linda and sabine making merry

cine avenida in lagartera

the old cinema in lagartera is no longer derelict

the new owners have rescued the shell and have made it into a very posh shop

their business is said to be the largest stockist of flamenco shawls

... and the old projector is still in there somewhere

the cherubs were painted by a local art wizard, guillermo montenegro
i wondered if the ugly cherubs were a tribute to alvaro, who owned a local tile factory when he lived, and was one of the people who found a communal use for the cinema as an occasional theatre and concert hall

and here are some old tiles of alvaro's that someone has kept for "the future"

turegano ... if i become a lottery billionaire, i'll transport it stone by stone to putney heath

corpus christi in lagartera again ... more to follow when i've finished the compulsory hoovering
